Want!!

Hahaha, I found this funny! (you wouldn't have guessed if i hadn't added the hahaha)...
I guess the larger part of the humor is in the fact that I can apply this to my life... oh so many times!
As far back as I can remember my mother has repeated the same words of wisdom to me with every chance she got: 7ebbi bi 3a2lik mesh bi albik (love with your mind not your heart).
With a bit of difference in the delivery, I have shared this same sentiment with friends and had friends tell me the same. Only in our age-group we tend to stress the absolute wonderfulness of being "in love" while my mother dismisses it completely as a temporary alteration that heals itself with time.
Anyway, here's the picture that resulted in this post!

  1. we always dismiss older people's (mainly parents) advices, and they turn out to be practically true most of the time.
This makes us wonder...What if we listened at the first place?
we would've been hurt less for sure.
but every time this happens again we refuse to listen because in some tiny corner in our brain, we believe in our choices.
This belief is essential. It's by believing that we can look up for other than regular possibilities that we create personal and professional accomplishments.
Of course getting hurt in these cases make us better listeners, but only our choices and the experience resulting of them make us better thinkers and eventually live our life like we "WANT" to.

  2. A bit late, I know but I still want to comment!

First of all what Paso said was so deep to the extent that I didn’t get half of it! :P just kidding I got it all hehehe

second, i think that we know in most of the times that it’s our emotions, referred to as heart, that are dragging us into certain relationships and we still want to go there because we also know that if we love with our mind it's not gonna feel the same, it’s the emotions that make us want the other person and most importantly it makes what we feel towards them more sincere than loving them with purpose and logic.

i choose to love with my heart even if it were for a short time rather than to love with my brain because quality time and good memories come with loving with our heart.
